LaTonya Adams is licensed as a professional counselor through the Georgia Composite Board. She received a master’s degree from Troy University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Grand Canyon University.

LaTonya has practiced in a variety of Private and State organizations, including 15 years working with Behavioral Health within the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Her experience includes working with community agencies such as Imani’s House, Advantage Counseling, and G.R.A.Y.S Counseling. She has worked in consultation with psychiatric hospitals, and directly with numerous Psychologists, Psychiatrists.

LaTonya has an extensive history working with diverse populations. Her experience includes working with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief/bereavement, and mood disorders among other challenges to everyday life. She specializes in assisting individuals, couples, and families navigate through the pitfalls of life, and cope with life events and stresses.

LaTonya has been trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ART (Aggression Replacement Therapy), and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
