Tiarah obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the Augusta University. During her undergraduate career, Tiarah interned at a Dual Diagnosis Recovery Center where she facilitated group therapy sessions. Following her completion of her Bachelor’s degree.
Tiarah accumulated years of experience working in a variety of healthcare systems both in Georgia and South Carolina. She gained further knowledge while being assigned to psychiatric, pediatric, geriatric, and emergency units. This exposure ignited Tiarah’s passion for working with adolescents and young adults. Tiarah also has an in depth understanding of community outreach from serving on the board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She was afforded the opportunity to work with clients with mental health diagnoses as well as their family members.
In 2023, she received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Tiarah’s degree concentration is Crisis and Trauma. She is being trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), as well as CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy). The foundation for her practice is client empowerment and advocacy.
